Southern California is home to a dazzling variety of mollusks, and this section is an ever-growing display of some of the molluscan biodiversity of the the region, including Haliotis rufescens, the proposed California state mollusk. And non-shelled mollusks, such as nudibranchs, ARE represented here, as well. In addition, links to information about protected areas in the region, and state regulations regarding marine life are included.

Please come back frequently, as new species will be added to the photo gallery here regularly!
